Kerizma was formed in the late summer of 1997. Founding member, Derrick D. Rivere, says, "I wanted a different kind of variety band. I want a band that lets the audience know that we perform for them." He also adds," when you leave one of our shows, we hope you leave with a smile. If you do, that mean's we've done our job."

  Through the years Kerizma has had musicians come in and add their own musical influences to the band, whether if it has been with Rock & Roll, R&B, Swamp Pop, Zydeco, Funk or Reggae. The band takes all of those different styles of music and adds it's own "Kerizma" to it. That is what makes this group unique.

  Kerizma plays a wide variety of Louisiana music. From artists such as The Meters, Fats Domino, Percey Sledge , just to name a few.

  No matter what your musical preference may be, Kerizma will promise to get you on your feet, and promises to leave you with a smile on your face.
